I am using UFT 2.9 for about a year and lately I noted that the startup of the UFT program is going quite slowly and sometimes I even think that the program will not start up at all.
Last week I upgraded my Norton Utilities to Norton System works, which suite includes the newest Crashguard version (4.0.1).
Everytime when I now start up UFT, Crashguard intercepts the start up and says that illegal calls are made by FOXW2600.ESL. A solution is provided by Crashguard allowing the gradual loading of UFT with a warning that my data should be saved as quick as possible to avoid data loss.
After this difficult startup, I noted that I can continue working with UFT and entering new data seemingly without any difficulty. I have re-installed UFT 2.9 on my computer (as upgrade), but this did not help.
Does anyone have any explanation / solution to avoid this? What is the function of this ESL file? I am using a Pentium III 450 MZ and Windows 98.
