UFT startup crash; NOT processer speed!
Hi,
I'm a computer systems engineer, and I've had a problem with UFT that I cannot seem to resolve.
On startup, UFT will often completely crash & lock the computer; no error messages and CNTRL-ALT-DEL won't even work.
This has occured when I had version 2.9, and even after I upgraded to 3.0. I have tried this with Norton Crashguard installed and not installed (it does not intercept the start-up crash, or prevent the total system lockup). I just upgraded for Windows 95 OSR2, to Win98 Second Release. The problem still occurs.
It almost always occurs if I reboot and try to run it as the first program being run after startup; if I load something simple like WORDPAD first, it will almost always load. However, if I've been opening & closing a variety of programs, there's a 50/50 chance it will crash like this if I try to run it.
Incidentally, I have beeb developing applications and database systems under Foxpro since 1991, on multiple operating systems and multiple versions of Foxbase, Foxpro, and Visual Foxpro.I've never experienced a problem like this with a Fox-based applications.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
