Ruthie & Myrnice, Thanks for your notes. I am using UFT 3.0. I copied off UFT's "Configuring UFT to work with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0".It makes no mention what version it should apply suggesting to me it was universal for all versions???Part of the instns reads:Edit the [Browser} section of your PD>INI so the Location=line points to your copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.Use the DOS 8.3 naming style for the path. For example, if your copy of IEV5.0 is loaced in C:Program FilesInternet ExplorerIexplore.exe, the entry in the PD.INI should be Location=C:Progra~1Intern~1Iexplore.EXE.
After saving your changes to the PD.INI, start UFT.The items in your Online menu will now use Microsoft IEV5.0.end of quote.
Since upgrading to IE5.0 UFT has been acting up for example, it kept questioning me on a persons's gender repeatedly, also I was type in a birth date in the Indiv Edit and it would not hold, it would vanish.I've not had these problems before with 3.0.
Ruthie I too like the easy way, but sometimes software just consider us novices. Chester
