(john writes) I would suggest that this is the point for a "Do not attempt this at home" disclaimer for those who do not already intend to replace their monitors.
Some of the older monitors, particularly the non-multisync variety (14 inch?) may fry at the required frequencies. So, even if you have the right driver and enough video memory don't try it, unless of course you are trying to sneak some new computer equipment by the spouse anyway. -john-
