This policy is why I let prospective buyers know : You have to run 2 versions of the program to get close to full functionality; management still sells the broken version with no apologies or warnings (can they also buy 2.8
to fill in the gaps?); management has no stated intention of ever issuing patches or updates to correct these deficiencies; management has never told users "We're sorry that we screwed up"; genealogy.com's internal communications and customer support for UFT resemble a bad keystone cops movie.
I don't recommend it any more. I just tell people that UFT was the best but that they should determine what they need in a program and watch the web boards for all the products. Which ones consistantly have customer gripes over non-support and lack of response from management and which ones seem to want to be pro-active and reach out.
