Video card is an ATI 3D Rage Pro AGP 2X with 4MB ram. Newest drivers as per ATI today. This is in an IBM Aptiva 2153 E2U running 333mHz, 48MB ram, 512KB L2 pipeline burst cache. Using Windows 98. Lovely computer for all the applications I run --- except for one of my main hobbies and "work" -- genealogy (UFT)! I've been using genealogy programs since Roots III and been using computers at home since 1984.
Here's my latest attempt. CTL-ALT-DEL everything except Explorer and Systray PLUS performance level set to zero zilch nada.
Loaded UFT 3 and don't have the crash when selecting EXIT. However, still have it crash when selecting anything in preferences as described earlier. (syntax errors, operator/operand type mismatch, etc.).
While I can exit UFT with performance set down all the way to nothing, most other programs have problems! Including just trying to log onto the internet. Wow, what a waste of time. It is stupid to have to set such a computer at it's worst settings to get a program to run.
