I am in the process of slowly reinstalling programs on a new 13gig hard drive in my Pentium 150 clone. There have been no problems that were not correctable once I remembered how to get around legacy sound cards and plug and play. Internet Explorer 5, Outlook Express, and UFT all worked fine together.
Corel 2000 including Word Perfect 9 was also installed and worked as usual. I did not have it installed before. I have not yet put MS Office 97 on.
Tonight I reinstalled the scanner and some demo OCR software and found that both worked. I left the OCR demo minimized and went online with no problems. Then I tried to open UFT and everything froze. Perhaps there wasn't enough memory left. In any event, I usually don't have the scanner working and I usually don't have any UFT crash problems. The last ones I had involved a previous installation of Outlook Express. FWIW. :) -john
