As mentioned above I had a problem with Memory Creep and UFT Freezup. It was not UFT's fault. The Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software Readme.txt file indicates that the Demo is indeed an old 16 bit Win 3.1 program that has many memory management problems.
As I scanned and re-scanned the pages of a book in my trial run, the scan speed went from medium to fast to very slow. (All terms are relative). It appeared that the 48mb of available RAM was slowly shrinking. This is with fat32, which may or may not be relevant.
Launching UFT was the last straw and everything seemed to come to a halt. Perhaps I should have been patient and UFT might have slowly loaded within the remaining Ram.
On the other hand, the "Double-Click" problem of UFT freezeups might be due to UFT trying to launch two versions simultaneouly into the same memory space.
Or not. Just watch out if your scan speed or program loads slow down. -john
