Bob, It's more than the amount of "power" you want. It is also how you want to look at your data. If you are primarily interested in blood and marriage relationships, any program will be fairly good (assuming it works). However, if you want to look at a wider range of relationships between family and friends, an event oriented program like UFT or TMG provide that in ways other programs cannot. UFT has a wide range of events, each with a sometimes long list of possible roles, each with a template sentence that will be built for Family Journal reports, and can be customized as much as you want. Yes, there is a lot of power in UFT, but I would be frustrated using a program that did not let me look at my data in this way.
