The "#Ii" is the code to add an image to an event using the role template. It can be added in the main role template window, which means that it will print each time that event type is printed. However, if you add it in the Event Preview window for selected events, then the image will only appear when that specific event prints.
To make this work, you need to add the code to the report sentence, but replace the lowercase "i" with the image number that you want to appear.
For example, if you had a wedding picture that you wanted to print with a marriage event and that image was record number 42 in the image library, you would add "#I42" to the role template sentence. You probably wouldn't want to add it to the main role sentence as then that same image would print for all marriages, but you would want to put it in the role template of the event Preview window.
When you use the image code in the role sentence, it will allow you to include more than one image for the event. When you use the Media window to link a preferred image to an event, that image appears immediately before the event in the report.Any images you include by using the image code can be place anywhere within the sentence.
And using the code allows you to add images to the other roles. For example, in a marriage event, you might have pictures of the best man and maid of honor. You could add the image code for these pictures to their own role sentence so that when those sentences print, you'd have the image of the individual rather than the bride and groom -- or have it in addition to the bride and groom's image.
