The problem is that your message to which I responded had no history. It wasn't posted to any thread that included previous posts. While you know what you have posted in various threads, it is more difficult for me to jump around to the various posts on different threads. That's why we encourage you to keep all of your posts on a particular subject on one thread.
Currently, how many uftree.exe files are on your system? Can you tell me where they are located and if you start each of them can you tell me what you see in Help-About UFT for each? if I am right, you have one copy in C:UFT, a copy of 2.8 on your D drive and now another fresh copy of 3.0 somewhere else. When you start the update you receive whicih message originally? If after choosing OK to whatevere message you see, you are then given the dialog box to pick the location of UFTREE.EXE, what is the initial dircetory that appears in that dialog box?
