The message you receive is one that indicates that you are trying to use the wrong version of the update for your installation of UFT.
Which update file are you using?
Also from Start-Run enter "regedit" (without quotes) on the Open line and choose OK. Then click the Registry menu (next to Edit) and select Export Registry File. In the Export Range section select Selected Branch and replace whatever may be in there with the following (I'd recommend copying and pasting rather than retyping to avoid typographical errors): HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionApp Pathsuftree.exe Make a note of what is listed in the Save In: line (change it to something like Desktop if you want to make it easier) and then on the File name line type UFTREE, and finally press the Save button. Wherever the Save In was pointing to you should end up with a file called UFTREE.REG. If you right-click that file and choose Edit, Notepad should open with a few lines of text. Highlight and copy that information and paste it into your reply to me. The information you see should look something like this )so you know if you exported the right key: ========== REGEDIT4
