If you happen to have FTM creating a GEDCOM in UFT and transfering works great but if you don't have FTM try the following:
You can print a Indented Descendant chart to a file, although it will not
look as nice as the UFT printed version. The roots font gets lost and you
end up with "+" and "-" for your lines.
To print to file do the following:
1. From the File menu of UFT select "Print Setup".
2. In Print Setup check the "Print to File" box.
3. Check the "ASCII Text" box and close the window.
4. Create the Indented Descendant chart as you would for print. When you
select print the program will ask you for a file name. Enter the file name
and note the location.
5. After the print to file is complete open WordPad from
Windows/Start/Program/Accessories/WordPad.
6. In WordPad select Open File
7. Use the "Files of Type" pulldown to select "Text Documents - MS-DOS
Format (.txt)".
8. Locate the file and open it.
Once opened you can save it in another word processing format, paste into a
e-mail or whatever.
Additional Note: Remember to uncheck the Print to File box in the Printer
Setup of UFT for later print operations.
Hope this helps.
