A few weeks ago I posted a message stating that I had given up on UFT and had purchased Legacy 3.0. I am very pleased with it so far, and since I purchased it, there have been 2 updates. It's well thought out and intuitive, and it does offer multiple sourcing for events.
Just today, TMG has begun offering a 50% discount on Gold 4.0a for UFT users (you must supply your CD code or other proof of ownership). Whollygenes states that they will also cut you a break on upgrading to the 32-bit version 5.0 when it comes out later this year. They also state that buying 4.0a now and then upgrading to 5.0 will still be cheaper than a simple competitive upgrade from UFT to 5.0. I may take advantage of this, since TMG will do a direct import of ALL UFT data.
I own UFT 2.8, Legacy 3.0, Family Origins 8.03, and of course, PAF. Owning multiple programs doesn't seem to be all that unusual but I am constantly having to double-check GEDCOMs for errors, because although there is a 5.5 standard, all the programs seem to have their little peculiarities. YMMV.
