You message states, in part, "..in keeping with our mission to provide all family history enthusiasts with tools to search their family history, we are putting a greater emphasis on products and services that are accessible online..."
What does that mean, exactly? That UFT isn't accesible online? Well, if you consider the difficulties that UFT users have encountered when attempting to upload web pages, and the difficulties encountered when accessing "Palladium"'s on-line resources by using the UFT Gateway, perhaps you're right.
Even though you are discontinuing development of UFT, you state that you will continue to "distribute, sell and provide free technical support for Ultimate Family Tree version 3.0 through the next year". Does that mean through 2000 or through 2001?
Finally, with what "on-line tools" will G.c provide us in addition to GenealogyLibrary.com? Will the UFT website still function, and will it still be accessible through the UFT Gateway?
