With the demise of UFT, I went to the Family Origins forum under the Genealogy.com umbrella. Some of the postings indicate that there may be hard drive memory conflicts between F.O. and the "professional" Microsoft O.S., Windows 2000.
A little bopping around on the Microsoft Knowledge base indicates that Windows 2000 "cannot" be uninstalled after it is used to upgrade Win 95/98. You must start over!
UFT users may wish to refrain from upgrading their operating systems in the near future, as Genealogy.com (Paul) has stated that it will not repair Family Origins to be compatible with Win 2000, and Microsoft shows no bug fixes that seem related. Note: UFT may or may not display similar problems, since it was developed on a previous version of Win NT.
