The bizarre actions of Genealogy.com regarding UFT and its very loyal owner/users in the past year violate the most elementary principles of good business, ethics, and simple courtesy. You acted like you were deliberately trying to alienate your loyal customer base and any potential buyers.
A year or so ago the company decided to dump UFT and then withdrew most support, development, relations with loyal customers, and constructive advertising. This caused poor sales over the next year, which then gave fraudulent justification for then dumping the program, which is what they intended to do all along.
A year or so ago a friend of mine for whom I demonstrated UFT promptly ordered/bought it and switched from her other program. This friendship is now in serious jeapordy over the company's announcement that it is dropping UFT. I and, I believe, most other UFT owner/users, will hereafter aggressively avoid buying any product from Genealogy.com or any of its affiliated companies, because, clearly, they don't want our business.
