Myrnice,
My backup was done as a part of a full Hard Drive backup using Take Two a product of Adaptec. It allows restoration of specific files, directories, etc.It will allow me to restore my entire ROOTS4(UFT) directory and sub directory or any subdirectory within it.
The existing files still open and I have confirmed that the Source files and Place Files are complete.
The approach that I am considering will be to isolate the current Projects Directory and then to replace it with the Project Directory from my backup. If this works, I should have a new file that is correct through the backup date and has in addition all of the Places and Sources that I've added since that date.
Your comment about "keep the program in sync" makes me uncertain about my planned approach.Perhaps I should give up salvaging the incremental Places and Sources and just restore my entire old Directory.
Thanks for your interest.
Jerry
