Well, it is sure to "clean up" that which transfers but the problem is that a lot won't transfer.At least, that's the general advice about GEDCOM but UFT does support a proprietary form of "GEDCOM" which they label "Event 1.1" which is designed to transfer data between UFT users.If you select that format, then an export and re-import might clean up your data.I haven't followed "Event 1.1" much (because no other program supports it) so somebody else will have to advise you about what, if anything, you might lose in that process.Be sure to preserve a copy of your project as it stands now, however!

It does find and fix some problems with corrupted index files, internal links, etc. but it is hard to say whether it would address the problem that you are having since you haven't described it.
I know a thing or two about the file structure of UFT and if you'll describe the problem and perhaps send me a copy of your UFT project (with libraries, etc.), then I may be able to help you.
And if you want me to test an import into TMG then I can do that too.
