"Upon further review", it seems that this question has already been posted on the FTM Printing Forum, and Russ bounced it over here. Also, it seems that this is a commercial venture, and that Mr. Fary prints trees up to 42" wide in Australia.
So the question is, how does Mr. Fary fix the problem? Does he ask the customer to make a copy of the UFT file, reopen it, and put the names in a more conventional format? Does he test the limits of the Family Treemaker naame field by adding one character at a time until it will take no more, and then back up one? Or does he open the GEDCOM file in Word and do a search and replace effort for the brackeded entries. Not very likely, that one?
Very interesting. Stay tuned for further developments.
