Dave- I don't know if my previous posting has any relevance. I only played with the Media Tree once during a Blue moon. But in hopping around these forums, and in my own recent experience, I have noticed that the Display settings font size can have an impact on these programs.
As a starter, you might try 800x600 resolution with small fonts. If that doesn't work, try setting the fonts to an even smaller size. Reboot. The rest of UFT may be screwed up, but maybe the Media tree will work.
Several years ago the then existent video problem was that 512K or smaller video cards could not support all the UFT screens even at 480x640 resolution and low color depth. Today, a different problem may arise with multi-megabyte Graphics accelerator cards, particularly if the user does not purchase a new monitor to go with the new computer.
Some monitors do not have a refresh rate that will keep up with the default video card built into the motherboard. The monitors may not run at the appropriate frequency. This can cause buttons and other screen features to disappear from the right side of a subsidiary window. PAF acknowledges this, even with PAF 5. Win XP may, at this stage of the game, cause even more compatability problems.
Frankly, I would suspect some software (Foxpro error) problem with the Media Tree than resolution. But as a first step, bring the FONT size down, bring the screen resolution down, and bring the monitor refresh rate down if possible. If you are using an old monitor, just plugging in a new one may fix things. A monitor swap fixed PAF for me - on both computers! Good luck, John
