Actually, my money would go on " low resources," meaning plan on upgrading your memory first off. Perhaps, the Processor will need to be upgraded as well. If it were me, I would make sure I have about 128 Mb if running winME or greater, in addition to my own programs / software. My processor would be no less than an Intel Pentium II 400mhz but I would go with an Intel 600mhz, to be honest.
Whenever you have this continual "freezing problem" it is generally related to low resource, and that is generally directly related to low memory. You can check your resources by going ot "control Panel" and click on "system" read all of the tabs and go from one to the next, one of those tabs, I believe, has your resources listed. If you are less than 80% and have very little running, other than windows, then think"Add_Memory."
