All - I'm new to the board - did a search on the above and found several offers of help to someone with 98 trouble back in 2000.
I was running on 95.Got a new tower last year with 98 pre-installed.Only now found my CD-ROMs after my transfer back from Japan.Installed them tonight - no apparent problem during the installation. Upon start-up, it gives me an error that says "close" or "ignore".If I choose ignore - I can go on. I appear to be able to start a new project if I want (I don't want).Would like to get rid of that first error when I click on the application (I'm running 2.7).
I tried to transfer my only project from the old computer to the new one.First I tried copying all of the files found in the project folder, to the new project folder. When I open on the new computer and choose to open an existing project - it shows up in my pick list, but absolutely nothing happens - just an empty screen with my buttons on top. Then I tried making a "backup" copy of the project from the old computer and then tried to do a recovery to the new computer.I get all the warnings I expect, and then it says its decompressing the file and then - nothing - same as other way.
Any thoughts?I hate to have to manually put all this in again. If I have to do that, I may just switch to another software - any thoughts on choosing something else if that happens?
