I am running UFT 3.1 on Windows XP. When I print a Family Journal directly to Word, footnotes appear if the "Normal" selection is made on the Family Journal dialog box whether I am using the Custom (with the End Note option selected) or the Mod Register setting. I can't make the end notes appear, however, and these are the notes I want. If I choose "None", then the I don't get the foot notes but I can't get the end notes either.
If I print directly to the UFT Editor and choose Custom and Normal and by using Tools in the UFT editor I can make the end notes appear. HOWEVER(and here is the rub), I can't save this file as a normal Word file in such a way that I can open the file. In other words when I try to opent the file through Word I receive the message "Check the file permission for the document or drive". Even if I save the UFT file to a floppy disc and try to get Word to open it from the dixc, I get the same message.
In other words I can use Word directly as my processor and get foot notes but not end notes. Or I can use the UFT Editor and get End Notes but can't make it a file that Word will work with.
What is more puzzling is that this is a new problem (I used to be able to go from UFT to Word with no difficulty).
I would sure appreciate some help. Maybe I am just too tired but I can't see what I am doing wrong.
