1. You are printing direct to a printer with the mod. register style selected.
2. Forget about "Preview"
3. Have your printer ready and click on "Print" you will next get a screen to reset the TOC, Reset Notes, and Reset Index. If you want a index (report) at this time you should check Collect and Print. After this the report will generate and send to your printer.
When done with this printing part go to Reports again and select End Notes a screen will ask what kind of Endnotes you want. Select a style and one chapter or all chapters. Click on Print.
When done select the Index Report, Select the options and print.
Now you should have a "Direct Printed" Report.
The only real problem with this method is that if you are printing a long journal report the index will start going wrong at some time. This is the reason when getting ready to print the index you can do some editing. But that is one heck of a lot of work.
The is the reason most send the report to Word.
BTW you may like to use a "Custom" Journal Report where you can set some options.
