Derek originally pointed out that he was having problems using XP Dos commands. A little web surfing indicates that MS states that 640K Dos is no longer supported directly in XP, but that XP supposedly has a Dos emulation mode based on MSDos 5, only with 32 bit support and long file names. Or something like that. One of the primary uses of these XP Dos emulation commands is for Registry Recovery operations in the XP Operating System.
But what does this mean to the typical UFT 2.X user who happens to need to upgrade to XP and install a "Foxpro patch"? I don't know, but maybe the UFT Tech Support/Knowledge base types (if any in the future) and the UFT User Group types (if any in the future) could change their patch installation instructions so that the typical windows user would not have to mess with Dos command line instructions that may no longer be applicable.
