I just learned my biological father was a vietnam veteran marine who joined when he was 17- which was in oct of 1959- so even if he joined immediately most likely he graduated in '60. im seeking temporary use of a San Diego training depot yearbook from 1960- I am willing to rent it or pay a postdated check for insurance of it's safe return.
The only way I will be able to identify his government name is by getting the yearbook to my biological mother (and good friend) to i.d. him. She and everyone they knew only knew him by his alias; we know his birthday, im not sure if that will matter though.
Due to his death before i was born in 1971 and due to being given up for adoption, this is the only way for me to discover my heritage and to potentially connect with his living family who don't know i exist and likely would love to meet me since he's been dead for 40 years. If anyone has the ability to assist me with this pursuit, i greatly appreciate it.
