I am trying to find out more information about the WW1 service of my grandfather CHARLES RENGIER ARNOLD of Manheim PA.Through letters home, we know that he spent basic training in NC and was sent to France in the spring during the last year of the war.He was part of the 4th Div (?) truck company and was injured when his convoy was mortared. We have his Purple Heart. He died in Manheim in the late 1970s.
I would like to know more about where he was and what he was doing during the 6-9 months before he was injured.Where was the truck company at the time? Since we know very little about his experience - he didn't talk about it much - I would like to provide some new information to my mother and aunt. Thank you. Tom
