Thought I would re-ask the question I've asked earlier in case someone new is posting/answering these messages.I'm still trying to track down what part the 293rd JASCO actually got to do on 6/6/44. My father was an Army 1st Lt. acting as a NSFCO directing gunfire from naval ships. I've sent letters to various JASCO units reunion organizers with no returns at all. NARA in College Park, Md has been difficult to get information out of (not to mention expensive!)though I got the radio network plans and schematics for Omaha beach, but that doesn't help me as he didn't deal with that aspect of operations.I have some other information that I can't hard-link to anything factual but could be some very accurate conjecture. So., here's hoping someone new out there has some more puzzle pieces: Mr. Turner seems to be a wealth of historical information. Perhaps sir you could be of help?!?
