I just found in my mother's attic a box containing the letters and personal effects of my uncle, who died in England during the war.Among other things, we found currency with swastika's on it (my uncle was an interpreter in France working with German POW's).Does anyone know anything about this type of currency? It's a blue bill, not a coin.
Also, we found letters addressed to or about him, from these individuals: Major General ULIO Raymond BAILEY Karlton KENNEDY III O.C. "Bud" MITCHELL Violet WHIPPLE M.E. BENNER Martha WEBB Bruno BIGOLIN E.J. MULHOLLAND Ruth LITTLE Guenther HOLTZ
If these are you, or your immediate family, we would be glad to send you the original letter(s).Regards, JCR
