Michelle--Okay!A little more info than in your last posting.
My reference shows that BUZZ JOB of the 454th BG 738 BS carried a serial number 42-52252.On the tail this would be written 252252.Notes also show that there was a BUZZ JOB II in 454/738 with serial number 42-94967, so be sure to check the tail number when doing your search. The same resource shows a plane named BUZZZZ JOB but without reference to GRP/SQN or serial number. It does mention that there is a photo of the plane existing (which is in a private collection.)My inclination would be that the first numbered plane above, and the un-numbered plane are one and the same. Another resource shows that BUZZ JOB came from this construction block, built by Ford Motor Company probably at the River Rouge Plant in Michigan: 42-52114/52302 Ford B-24H-10-FO "Liberator" Now after all that--go check this out!Classic WW2 Nose Art!!http://www.b24bestweb.com/buzzzzjob.htmhttp://www.b24bestweb.com/buzzzzjob.htm
