I served in the Second Battalion of the 395th.

I'm a bit rusty on my military lore but as best I can recall -

Companies A-B-C-D constitued the First Battalion of a regiment.

E-F-G-H was the Second Battalion.

I-J-K-L would be the Third.

A "Headquarters Company" was in each battaliopn and was composed of a Headquaters Platoon (clerks, cooks), a Heavy Weapons Platoon, A Communications Platoon and an Anti-Tank Platoon.

So for Company I, you would be interested in the Third Bn.
