Hi David, Thanks for that bit of information. To tell you the truth, I'm having a difficult time determining just which squadron Lloyd was with during WWII. He passed away in 1983 and prior to that, he didn't discuss his military life all that much. A bit odd when you think about it, as he continued serving with the R.C.A.F as a career up to 1967. He was stationed in Chathem (where my wife was born ) 13x, North Bay and Chilliwack BC.His RANK as Sgt. his NUMBER as 25762. I do know that he was with the 416 by the time he left the R.C.A.F, but that is not to say that he was with that squad during WWII. I'm still in the early stages of getting the facts together. Someone in our family actually has his flight/bomb log, so I'm waiting to get a copy of that. I know he was an Airgunner, as we have his patch. However, we have a photo of him in his military uniform and he's wearing an Aviator patch. I know he was involved with Lancasters, which I would assume the airgunner postion would be applicable. Do you know of which RCAF squadrons used Lancasters for bomb raids over Germany ?
