Deborah -I ordered it from the National Archives when pages cost .25 each. Now they may be more. However - email them at email@example.com. Make your request as detailed as possible as to dates, etc. They will send stuff in sections only, unless things have changed. They might also have General Orders. General Orders contain names of men who recieved Purple Hearts as well as some general info about movement etc. You order them by unit and by yr.
In about 2 wks you will recieve confirmation that the request has been forwarded to the proper section. Then wait 4-8 wks and you should receive an invoice/order with what you may get from them and the price. Follow the directions from there. The wait will again be 4-8 wks.
More info should be available from National Archives. National Archives has a branch at St Louis called National Personnel Record Center (NPRC) This is the branch where soldiers' personal records are kept.
It has been awhile since I have contacted NARA so things may be different so looking at the site might be advisable. Mary
