Steve, Thank you for your reply and the information. My uncle was a T/Sgt. with "I" Company of the 115th.He was wounded on June 10, 1944, I believe at St. Lo, but I could be mistaken. He was killed in action on September 4, 1944 during the Brest Campaign and because of his death, I don't have any Certificate of Service that lists any of his awards. After nearly 14 months of correspondence between me,the National Personnel Records Center and my Congressman, I finally received a DA Form 1577 listing some of his awards, but no Croix de Guerre or DUC.It only lists one Purple Heart, where there should be two.It lists he EAME, but lists no devices, but there should be a bronze arrowhead and two bronze service stars. The only citation I have is the one listed in the book, "The 115th Infantry Regiment in World War II." I have some information for you, but could you please contact me via my e-mail address and I will send it to you.
