Hi! I am looking for info re the 751st Tank Battalion, Co. D at Anzio, Italy and was referred to you by Louie F. Turner from a previous inquiry I had seen on a Yahoo Group WW II site. Someone was trying to locate a "J.W. Eiler." I wondered if you had any references listing men who had fought with the 751st Tank Battalion, Co. D at Anzio during 1944. Louie F. Turner wrote:
"Greetings, Patricia ! There is no way that I would have known J.W. Eiler. However, if you go back to the Forum under #694, 1-26-2000, you will find a Mr. Briggs, who lost an uncle from the 751st Tank Battalion at Anzio. Perhaps he could provide you with some information. OK ? Keep the faith. Louie F. Turner.
At a previous World War II yahoo group site I found a man named "Dave" asking for information. He wrote: > "Does anyone have any sources that would tell me who was assigned to the 751st Tank Batallion in 1944 at Anzio?I recently picked up a book with the follwing informataion written on the inside cover: > > J.W. Dave"
If you have any information you could offer regarding who J.W. Eiler was or the 751st Tank Battalion, Co. D at Anzio in 1944, I would appreciate it. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Pat
