I wish I had more info to share with you but the truth of this is......the Granddaughter was adopted and she never knew her grandfather. She was raised by her A-parents and not until later in life when she contacted the agency that handled the adoption did she find out her mothers info. That she was a MEEK and was one of twin girls born to a man who died at age 26/28 in The Battle of the Bulge.
Now you know why she has no more info to share.Since she was born in Cincinnati she thought pehaps her grandfather was born in OH however its entirely possible he was born in IN, KY. IL who knows.
I have been getting names along and am passing them on to her.....and it is so nice of all of you to share this info with me.
Somehow since his twins were either expected or already born [his twins were born 1944-45] I just think he was probably drafted and was a PFC. But that is just my opinion since he was the age he was.
Thanks again for all who have attempted to assist. If I even had his name I would not be here posting these messages.
One piece of info that she has is.....he was 6'5" weighed 230had Lt. brown hair and blue eyes.......HS graduate and was an electrician before the war. He was age 28 when he died making him born about 1926.
