The paper clearly shows 102D and He states that he was at Ft.Lee(Camp Lee?), VA, Camp Blanding, FL, and Camp Howe, Texas (near Greenville,Texas) and that he was in LA for a while and his paper shows him as Cpl. and a Sharp Shooter on 7 Feb.1944---He was discharged at Ft.Sam Houston. He may have been transferred to the 105 Reg't but what paper he has does not show that. I would love to find out his regiment. He did draw some pictures and send them on envelopes back to the states during the war and if some of my family has them that may tell something. He was in Korea right after Okinawa.I shall check further. He must have passed Stillwell and Buckner as he stated. He just can't remember a lot after his stroke. He does remember having a Japanese soldier walk by his "foxhole" during the night and remembers the navy shooting shells into the sky which dropped on the troops on the island and some other stories,so he must remember some things.
