Barbara - I have not received Morning Rports. They come from National Personnel Records Center in St Louis. I think Norm must be busy because he has not posted lately. He can help you with those. They are a branch of NARA and have personnel records. Navy records are not supposed to have been burned. Many Army records were. Go to nara and click on the appropriate site for NPRC. They require specific kinds of info and have forms that can be down loaded.
After Action Reports are issued at battalion level. They would have also beenissued by other units that I am not familiar with. If you know the regiment and the dates you are interested in go to National Archives -NARA.They are in Washington DC. They have a good web site with instructions. Enter nara and it will come up. Check until you find the appropriate e-mail address and ask them if they have what you want. That will take 4-8 wks. They have a phone # also, I think, so you might do a phone consultation. Be sure you have ALL the facts handy. You will not get reports of individual men from NARA. They have reports of various units. They charge by the page and that, too, has changed.
It has been awhile with 9/11 in between since I have ordered anything from them so I expect I no longer know the precise method. Mary
