From my brother Bill discription, as he was in a HQ CO., he must have been located somewhere in the area close to Gen. Buckner's headquarters. He was driving a jeep to pick up mail for his co. when spotted Gen. Buckner and Stillwell. Could this have been the 105 Regt.? He stated that he had seen them on a hill and started to go an see them then decided to go on and pick up the mail and see them on the way back. They were gone when he got back and someone told him later that Gen. Buckner was killed about an hour after the meeting with Stillwell. I guess that his stroke still left him with plenty of memory. On his papers it states that he was with the 102d Reg't. Could they have transferred him to another unit? He also was shipped to Korea after the battle was over to occupy that area. Was the 105 Reg't in Korea? Sure do appreciate your help.
