Karen-- According to my reference only one plane from the 301st went missing on 18DEC44.It was B-17 44-8161 from the 353rd Squadron of the 301st.Details of the loss can be found in MACR 10893.
It came from this block number: Lockheed/Vega B-17G-50-VE Fortress
The tail number of the plane would be 48161.
NARA POW ARCHIVES lists 41 Air Force personnel as captured and held by the Germans on 18DEC44.Of these, only four (4) do not show a PARENT UNIT designation.One of these three just happens to be:
