John : You don't mention what his unit was, but I assume that he was in an armoured division or battalion. The 965 MOS pertained to qualification as a mechanic for wheeled vehicles, as in trucks etc. A higher MOS 966 pertained to qualificatin as a track vehicle mechanic, as in tanks, tank destroyers etc.. I really don't think that he would have received any distinctive award for the trainng schools you refer to. However, if he was engaged in tank warfare he most certainly would have received campaign credit/s. His separation papers would list the campaigns he was involved in.
