I was recently given a Junior Commando armband that had belonged to my late father, who was between ages 7 & 11 during WWII. It's made of a red felt-like material, about 3" wide, and has "Burnham Junior Commando" and a logo printed on it. Burnham is the name of the town he lived in then. There is a piece of blue ribbon sewn onto the band at the bottom. I am interested in learning more about the Junior Commandos and the significance of the blue ribbon. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
