I am looking for information about nurses from New England who traveled by train to Seattle Washington (July 1944) then went on to Oahu for jungle training (Oct.-Nov. 1944. I have several pictures of various groups of nurses and some of the men who were on Oahu and on Guam. This is a list of some of the nurses: Major Schloemer, Chief Nurse D. Meyers, RC Elizabeth Ackerman, RC Helen Hamilton, PT Clara Mulligan, RN Betty Armstrong, RN Phyillis Normandine, RN Mary Branagan, RN Beverly Clese, RN K. Fisher, RN Henrietta Liberty, RN Constance Percival, RN M. Teterault, RN M. Pradenio, RN G. Thiviege, RN Eloise Crocker, RN (my mother-in-law)
There is also a Major Kelley, and Captain Friedman pictured with some of the women and a Major Weinstein with two women. Other pictures are of Lt. Col. James Scott "Scottie" ALbert Ward,Jean Jeffers, Gerald Morrisey and John Spiekermann. The last three have 106 NCR 2nd section CEC VE USNR printed on the back of their picture. Any help with information is greatly appreciated.
