Re: 1Lt Richrad I. Barrett from 55 FG/338 FS - crash 26.11.44

Search of my reference materials indicates that Lt Richard I. Barrett was flying CL-U out of the 338 Sqn of the 55th FG on 26NOV44.

This a/c was named "Purple Shaft" and was tail coded 44-15022 contrary to the number you posted.

Further, my references indicate that Barrett was POW at Luft III, Sagan, and then moved to Nuremberg-Langwasser.
