This list (probably 200,000 or more) identifies those members of the various services by name, date of death, where buried/memorialized, etc.. In other words, these bodies were not returned to the States.
By his not being listed, you may conclude that his body was returned to the US for final rites.
Your folks should know where he is buried.
If the V-A provided a grave marker, it will include the vital nformation you are seeking.
If not a GI headstone, but a private one, you might check with the cemetery personnel for information.
Otherwise, check your local newspaper archives for the information. It should be there.
I waded thru GOOGLE for sites which provide such information, but haven't come up with the right one yet.
