My grandfather was a flight officier in WWII, serving as a co-pilot of a B26 (named the Missouri Mule) in the 320th BG, 444th Squadron. He went through Army Air Force basic training at Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis and advance pilot training at Spence Field in Georgia.
He was shot down in November of 1942 over North Africa. He also served in the O.S.S. I would be very interested to make contact with someone that has information on any of these groups and/or can provide advice on where to find resources that will help me understand more about the groups, places and/or situations in which he served.
