I don't know how much information you have on
Harry J. Lindemann,but I found the following at :
Harry J. Lindemann
Private, U.S. Army
Service Number 32096233
Entered the service from New York.
Died 3 May 1945
(How ironic and sad, only a week to the end of hostilities in Europe.)
I foundanother referenmce to the 1276th EC BN.
It was attached to the 405th Infantry Regiment,
102nd Infantry Division, during the crossing of the
Roer River, 23 Feb 45.
The Regiment and its attachments, including the 1276th, received a Presidential Citation for extraordinary performance under extreme enemy fire.
I still haven't uncovered the unit's activities 3 May 1945.
More another time. OK ?
