You will also see that, among other listings, he has been honored by a Betty June Peyton & Patricia Helen Johnson. In their recitation they refer to him as "Uncle Buford". This would appear to indicate that they were his nieces.
you can find the obituary of Mrs. Helen Elvoree Hart Peyton (1921 - 2005). It says there that Mrs. Peyton is survived by her daughters, "Betty June Peyton and Patricia Helen (Peyton) Johnson, both of Charleston, South Carolina." From this info it would appear that Mr. Peyton's nieces are alive and living in Charleston.
