I can't begin to tell you how excited I am about finding Dad's letters! He was the first one drafted from Gallatin Co., Kentucky. He went to Camp Shelby, Miss. in April 1941 and was there until Dec. 31, 1941, and he was in communications. In his letters, he talks about running telephone lines and operating radios. Very interesting stuff!I've read them all and have now started going back through them, typing them so they can be easily read by anyone else who is interested in them.I'm amazed and overwhelmed by the experience of getting to know my father after all these years.
